What is Sandblasting & Frosting?
Love the look of commercial glass frosting?
If you want to add privacy, intricate designs, or even your company’s logo to your glass…
Our sandblasting service is for you.
By using high speed air to propel abrasive particles onto your glass where desired, these areas become opaque (or frosty). This makes it possible to craft beautiful designs and leave behind textures wonderful to the touch.
Our experienced team is able to control the depth and degree of translucency to ensure your finished result is a one of a kind custom piece that turns heads.
Ideal for domestic or commercial application, sandblasting and frosting can complement your existing bathroom decor, elevate your office space, or create beautiful and functional storefronts.
It doesn’t have a natural ability to repel dirt, it attracts it. We can apply a polymer coating to protect it from fingerprints etc.
Why Choose Us?
It isn’t an exaggeration to say that anything you can imagine, we can create.
From working on commercial projects such as those in Buckingham Palace, Four Seasons Hotel in Circular Quay, to working on residential bathroom doors…
We’ve etched countless visions into glass.
We do this by first creating a stencil by cutting your design out by hand. We then etch your design onto the glass surface by hand, before protecting any area that you do not want frosted, and then finally we begin manually sandblasting your glass to perfection.
By working alongside designers and architects, there’s nothing we can’t create. Whether you have a complete design in mind, a first draft, or nothing but a brief idea — we can polish your ideas and turn them into a reality within your glass.

Frequently Asked Questions
Sandblasting is a method of roughening the surface of glass. By using high pressure air, particles of abrasive material are shot onto the glass. This leaves the glass opaque with a highly textured surface.
Shot blasting uses centrifugal force to generate high speeds for metal shots to be used as an abrasive.
Sandblasting uses high pressure air and most commonly sand as an abrasive.
While both are similar, shot blasting is usually used for floors and metals.
Sandblasting is better suited for glass work. And that’s why we use sandblasting for your glass frosting.
Sandblasting roughens the surface of one side of the glass. What this does is create little pits on the surface. Once light lands on the surface, instead of going through as usual, the light scatters once it passes through the glass. This is why you can still roughly see what’s behind the glass, but it’s blurry and has that frosted effect.
Use any glass cleaner and fabric or cloth, and clean as you would clean any other glass.
